We are seeking an experienced Go Tech Lead with 810 years of professional experience in software engineering including significant hands-on expertise with the Go programming language. As the Go Tech Lead you will be responsible for guiding a team of developers driving technical excellence and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable high-quality software solutions. This role combines strong technical skills with leadership mentoring and project management responsibilities
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Go developers providing technical guidance feedback and support throughout the software development lifecycle
- Architect design and implement scalable maintainable and efficient backend systems using Go ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements
- Collaborate with product managers designers QA engineers and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software products.
- Establish and enforce coding standards best practices and quality assurance processes within the team
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality maintainability and adherence to best practices
- Identify and resolve technical issues bottlenecks and areas for improvement in both codebase and team processes
- Oversee project planning estimation and delivery ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope
- Recruit onboard and train new team members as required
Skills and requirements
- 810 years of professional software engineering experience with at least 35 years in Go development
- Proven experience leading and mentoring software development teams.
- Strong knowledge of Go templating common frameworks and tools
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with other backend languages (e.g. Java Python) is a plus
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka)
- Experience working in distributed team environments
