Job Description
Injection Molding Technician
Direct Hire Brainerd MN $35 - $45/hour DOQ
Summary:
Support daily injection molding operations by setting up machines performing mold changeovers troubleshooting process issues and ensuring consistent part quality. Play a key role in optimizing production performance and maintaining a safe efficient manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a variety of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Install and align molds adjust ram stroke set temperatures and pressures and run test cycles.
- Perform mold and material changeovers coordinate with Production and Quality teams.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain consistent part quality.
- Identify cosmetic or dimensional defects and take corrective action.
- Dry and handle raw materials properly; monitor inventory and communicate with Purchasing.
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues; escalate when needed.
- Assist with routine mold and machine maintenance.
- Document setups and maintain accurate process records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A technical degree or vocational training is preferred.
- 5 years of injection molding experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with mold setups plastic materials and machine operation required.
- Basic PC skills (Windows environment).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Able to interpret blueprints and process documentation.
