Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $14.00 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- Varies - hours are only available on days when we have shows or events hours per week
- 100% Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
As an usher at the Fritz you play a key role in making sure our guests have a smooth welcoming and enjoyable experience. Youll help people find their seats answer questions and assist throughout the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet patrons
- Scan tickets
- Provide information about the event or venue.
- Assist patrons in finding their seats and accommodating special needs such as wheelchair accessibility.
- Distribute programs and materials to patrons.
- Monitor assigned doors and section to ensure patrons follow house rules (e.g. no flash photography maintaining quiet).
- Manage the flow of guests during intermissions or emergencies.
- Address disruptive behavior or any safety concerns Pitch in with other duties as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Ability to stand for several hours at a time during our shows.
- Available to work evenings and weekends (shifts are usually 34 hours)
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
