About your new career:
As our Director Human Resources youll serve as a key advisor and business partner to executive and department leadership across a 750 employee company with four offices in two states (CA & NV). You will help lead a wide range of HR functions including employee relations performance management compensation and benefits and more. You will partner with your peers in Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition significantly impacting workforce strategies that enhance employee engagement and strengthen our high-performing Lewis culture.
What Youll Do:
- Partner with the VP/CHRO and senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of all HR operations ensuring compliance consistency and alignment with organizational goals. Including: health/wellness and benefits leave of absence (LOA) performance management employee engagement
- Lead and manage HRBP(s) to support departments across the company ensuring responsive and integrated HR services.
- Design and implement HR strategies programs and policies that enhance the employee experience across the entire lifecyclefrom onboarding to offboarding.
- Leverage modern HR technology data analytics and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement in HR operations.
- Foster a seamless and cohesive employee experience by integrating HR systems and touchpoints aligning services across payroll benefits performance and talent management.
- Lead and resolve employee relations issues investigations and compliance matters in partnership with Legal and external counsel.
- Collaborate with department leaders and Learning & Development to identify trends and implement training solutions.
- Support HR systems and data management (HRIS/ATS) reporting and analytics.
- Manage HR vendors temporary staffing needs and special projects.
What You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field (Masters degree a plus).
- 7 years of progressive HR experience including staff supervision.
- Strong knowledge of CA employment law (NV experience is a plus).
- Design thinking in HR programs to create intuitive employee-centered solutions and experiences.
- Subject matter expertise in all core HR functions including employee relations compliance performance management compensation and talent development. SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Excellent communication relationship-building and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/ATS systems (UKG Jobvite or similar).

This position will report to the VP/CHRO and be located at the Upland CA corporate headquarters. Work hours are Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Fridays are available as a remote workday.
