Responsible for providing Leveled Literacy Intervention to selected students in grades 1-3. (5-6 hours per day)
Instructional responsibilities:
- Provides daily intensive small-group instruction to small groups of students at a time specifically focusing on reading writing phonics and word study.
- Uses identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of Leveled Literacy Intervention standards. Establishes clear objectives for all lessons units and projects using formal and informal assessment data obtained from students.
- Uses a variety of instructional techniques and Leveled Literacy Intervention materials consistent with reading/language arts content and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Creates an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
