Job Description

This is a remote opportunity with travel estimated at 30%.

Kalo is a global leader in drug-delivery device technology and auto-injector innovation providing millions of patients and emergency responders with security and peace of mind.

We are seeking an experienced and transformative Director Strategic Accounts & Customer Engagement tolead the strategic assessment design and measurement plan for the companys customer engagement model including oversight of any external facing promotional team(s). This individual will also play a key role in leading the strategic engagement with key accounts and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the allergy and immunology space and therefore must have had leadership experience in a customer-facing role.

As Director Strategic Accounts & Customer Engagement:

Strategic KOL Engagement

  • Develop and execute a national KOL engagement strategy aligned with medical commercial and launch objectives.
  • Lead segmentation mapping and prioritization of KOLs and rising stars across academic clinical and community settings.
  • Oversee long-term relationship management across the allergy therapeutic area ensuring consistency and strategic depth.
  • Represent the company externally at scientific meetings society leadership forums and patient engagement events.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the enterprise-wide lead for KOL strategy collaborating closely with Commercial Field Medical (MSLs) Clinical and Communications teams.
  • Act as the commercial lead for the overall customer engagement framework working across teams to optimize and align processes as well as design reporting and measurement to create an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Provide insight-driven recommendations that inform product positioning lifecycle planning and unmet need analysis.

Team and Budget Oversight

  • Manage internal and external partners as necessary.
  • Manage budgets and timelines related to conference attendance speaker programs and other national events.

  • Extensive leadership skills with the ability to engage with KOLs and other external partners.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in process improvement.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to effectively prioritize projects and tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities expectations and environments.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative strategic initiatives.
  • A demonstrated results and outcome-oriented approach to work with a track record of seeing projects and plans through to completion.

  • Patient-centered mindset with commitment to providing an excellent patient experience.
  • Proven ability to lead external engagement strategy at a national or global level.

To be considered for the position you must have:

  • Bachelors degree in business or healthcare management similar field.
  • 10 years of experience in KOL engagement sales marketing or account management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulatory and legal guidelines governing HCP and advocacy interactions (e.g. PhRMA Code FDA OIG).
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Therapeutic expertise in allergy immunology or related specialties preferred.
