Job Description
Teacher Assistant - Math-Dressel Elementary
- Part-time position; 5hours/day; 25 hours/week
- Schedule: Monday-Friday student attendance days only
- Hourly Rate: $22.81
- Substitute Certification Required; Missouri Teacher Certification Preferred
- Non-exempt
- Benefits not included
Summary:Assist teachers with daily non-instructional and instructional activities and student management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists teacher in routing classroom operation i.e. tutoring etc.
- Prepares planned instructional materials attendance reports and class reports.
- Implements/follows teachers instructions of classroom procedures; reinforcement philosophy and consistency.
- Makes appropriate referrals when difficulties arise and teacher is not readily available.
- Demonstrates an understanding of students problems keeps a firm course yet is courteous.
- Keeps records writes lessons on the board and corrects students work.
- Performs extra duties as prescribed by the administration.
- Classes ranging from 4-8 students by grade level
- Help students catch up in math
- Connect with math teachers and support classroom topics
