Job Description
Excel Engineering Inc. is seeking a team-oriented highly motivated and experiencedDigital Marketing & SEO Specialist for our Mounds View MN office. We offer full service Electrical and Control System Engineering Consulting and Construction services in the US and abroad.

At Excel Engineering the Digital Marketing & SEO Specialist role will lead our digital engagement and online presence to attract top-tier talent strengthen client engagement and position our services as industry-leading. This position merges strategic communication with technical marketing expertise leveraging social media and SEO to amplify our brand promote project excellence and support business growth in the electrical automation and industrial services sectors.
Social Media & Brand Engagement
- Develops and maintains a professional social media presence that reflects Excel Engineerings values projects and service capabilities.
- Creates technical and client-oriented content (e.g. project spotlights safety tips regulatory updates) to engage engineers clients and industry partners.
- Identifies emerging platforms and trends relevant to technical audiences and decision-makers.
- Responds to online inquiries and feedback with professionalism reinforcing the firms commitment to responsiveness and reliability
- Maintain brand consistency and tone across digital communications.
- Lead planning for annual in-person technical conference for Clients and business partners.
SEO Strategy & Web Optimization
- Integrates SEO best practices into website copy blog posts service pages and job listings to improve search rankings and lead generation.
- Conducts keyword research focused on engineering services (e.g. NFPA 70E thermography inspections PLC programming RTAC programming SEL relay configuration).
- Implement changes by updating the WordPress website.
- Analyzes website traffic using tools like Google Analytics to measure performance and refine content strategy
- Produce clear and actionable recommendations and insights to optimize brand and marketing effectiveness efforts and strategic objectives.
Digital Content & Marketing Support
- Crafts multimedia content and takes lead role on company presentations project reports proposal templates newsletters campaigns and client communications using tools like Canva and PowerPoint.
- Supports digital advertising initiatives including paid LinkedIn Google Ads and sponsored job postings.
- Aligns marketing efforts with Excel Engineerings strategic goals including recruiting top talent expanding service offerings and brand promotion.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or a related field; or equivalent experience in B2B technical marketing.
- Masters of Business Administration is a plus
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in digital marketing SEO or social media management; preferably in professional services.
- Proficiency with CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) graphic design tools (Canva or Adobe Express) and basic video editing is a plus.
- Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics Search Console Yoast or SEMrush
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear messaging.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.
- Ability to develop and maintain rapport with clients and partners
