Public Relations Coordinator

Job Duties:

Contributes to the development of public relations and digital communication strategy and coordinates messaging in support of the institutions strategic communication goals. Provides campus wide strategic leadership and coordination of social media initiatives. Understands emerging and completive trends and develops an engagement strategy that embraces and benefits the Universitys constituents.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists with and advises on web-based marketing
  • Advises others within the University on digital communication best practices
  • Curates creates and responds to digital messaging in support of the institutions strategic communication goals; add in about creating high-quality on-brand and engaging original content; Utilize social media analytics tools to generate performance reports and evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaigns

Department: Marketing & University Communications

Compensation: Competitive compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience

This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Communication Marketing Business or related field at time of application

  • Working knowledge social media platforms

  • Experience in higher education environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education environment

  • Experience capturing photo and video content

  • Experience with media management and social media management software

Conditions of Appointment:

A criminal conviction investigation and pre-work screen examination will be conducted on the finalist(s). A six-month probationary period is required for this compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act the University does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
