Job Title:Graduate Student Employee Biweekly - McNair Scholars Graduate Assistant

Job Classification:Graduate Student Employee Biweekly

Department: Success Center

Hiring Manager: Steven Fernandez

Contact:

Work Schedule: Minimum 10hrs per week between the hours of 8am and 5pm

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/ Ongoing

Pay Rate: $20

Job Description:

This position will support the Program Director in effectively implementing program objectives and advancing its mission by providing access to an inclusive and excellent Baylor education for Baylors diverse student population. The purpose of the McNair Program is to prepare eligible participants for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. Eligible scholars are from disadvantaged backgrounds and who have demonstrated strong academic potential.

What Will You Do:

  • Assist with McNair Scholars Professional development
  • Some travel to conferences with students
  • Assist McNair Program with program goals and operation.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylors mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
