Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists-Experienced Veterinary Technician-Surgery
Hoffman Estates IL
Full-time
- Certified Veterinary Technician-CVT--preferred
- Specialty Surgery experience-preferred
Ideal Candidates:
- 2 years prior specialty surgery/anesthesia experience preferred
- Be able to prepare the surgical suite for a surgical procedure.
- Be familiar with proper aseptic techniques in the surgical suite.
- Monitoring and maintaining anesthesia in surgical patients/during advanced imaging
- Monitoring the patient after it has been extubated taking post-op temperatures and heart rate and making sure the patient is comfortable and pain-free.
- Assist with pack prep and instrument sterilization.
- Assist with pre-surgicaldiagnostics
- Obtain thorough patient histories
- Communicate effectively with clients
- Leadership experience in a specialty surgery role
- Competitive compensation $26-32/hr--actual rate offered DOE
