Job Description:
The Department of Human Services Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking an Developer with a strong background in Microsoft development tools and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Microsoft Visual Studio C# SQL JavaScript AngularJS and Web Services with a focus on delivering robust web-based software solutions.
Experience and Skills Required-
- Design develop and maintain web-based applications aligned with existing business requirements.
- Conduct research and development activities ensuring alignment with DCFSs development standards and documentation practices.
- Participate in unit testing documentation and validation of developed solutions.
- Support the ongoing development of the UNITY Application including APIs system interfaces and new modules or applications.
- Assist with various IT initiatives to enable internal developers to focus on priority efforts.
- Provide support and perform maintenance on current DCFS applications.
- Write clean efficient and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices.
- Test and validate individual work components for accuracy and functionality related to the UNITY Application and other IT projects.
- Analyze and understand both functional and technical requirements.
- Support early-stage modernization efforts for department systems.
- Attend and contribute to project meetings related to the DCFSs initiative.
- Document findings questions and observations from system evaluations.
- Maintain up-to-date records for development tasks including technical design documentation and needed use/test cases.
- Submit regular status updates summarizing completed work and remaining items for assigned tasks.
