Job Description
- Operate PET/CT scanner to perform diagnostic imaging procedures on cancer patients
- Prepare and position patients for PET/CT scans ensuring comfort and safety
- Administer radioactive tracers as required in accordance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with oncologists radiologists and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain and calibrate PET/CT equipment per manufacturer and facility guidelines
- Follow infection control radiation safety and patient confidentiality policies
- Document procedures patient information and scan results accurately
- Educate and inform patients about the scanning process and answer questions
- Monitor patients during and after procedures for any adverse reactions or complications
