The DCF Child Care Child Welfare section is looking for a results oriented and adaptable individual with a can do attitude to provide application development and support for Department of Children and Families (DCF) CARES related mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team to develop and enhance mainframe applications using technologies such as COBOL and DB2 databases to implement maintenance & enhancement mainframe functionality.
This Cobol Mainframe Programmer 6 (CMP6) will work on high profile mainframe application projects within the Child Care Child Welfare (CCCW) section maintain online and batch application programs by reviewing analyzing coding testing and debugging application code. They will develop specifications diagrams flowcharts and documentation. The CMP6 will analyze and develop programs using COBOL DB2 XML and JCL for the new enhancements. The CMP6 will implement application changes enhancements and new applications and provide post implementation support.
