Job Description
Location: Shiprock NM 87420
Weekly Pay Rate: $1600 - $1720; Based on experience (Negotiable)
Duration: 32-week contract
Shift: 8-hr Variable Days
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up surgical instruments and equipment sterile drapes and sterile solutions.
- Ensure proper sterilization of all surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments sponges and sutures.
- Monitor patient condition and surgical environment to ensure sterility and patient safety.
- Maintain the sterile field and ensure adherence to surgical asepsis.
- Anticipate surgeons needs during procedures and respond in a timely accurate manner.
- Assist in preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Perform post-operative clean-up and instrument processing.
- Certification: Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Minimum 1 year of experience specifically in the Operating Room (OR).
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) Required.
