Position: Color Guard Advisor

Location: Uinta County School District #1 Evanston Wyoming
Evanston High School

Salary: Paid by an annual addendum

Job Summary:

To instruct all students in the fundamental skills and knowledge of color guard.
To provide an atmosphere for successful individual development through monitoring evaluating and reinforcing.
To provide a healthy and safe environment being sure to follow all UCSD#1 policies and procedures as it relates to activities.
Coordinate with marching band director on policies schedules and practices.

Qualifications:

Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming.
Have fundamental knowledge of dance and choreography.
Ability to select from a variety of instruction methods to teach activity objectives.
Knowledge of CPR and First Aid. Certification must be provided.

Working Conditions:

Supervise all practices.
Supervise color guard members at all events.
Organize and conduct color guard tryouts.
Make arrangements for approved travel and supervise students on trips.
Help keep an accurate and up-to-date inventory.
Assume responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities used in the program.
Have a thorough understanding of the rules and regulations regarding the color guard program.
Perform other duties or tasks related to the color guard program as requested.
May be responsible for supervising students on out-of-town activities. This may involve staying overnight.
