Job Description

We at Leggett & Platt Inc. are searching for an Inventory Clerk Lead (Shipping / Receiving) within our Customer Service team to help support our business. Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support Wireless Charging Motors and Actuators and Mechanical Cables. If you join our team your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As an Inventory Clerk Lead (Shipping/Receiving Clerk) you will be responsible for LPCS system and inventory control.

So what will you be doing as an Inventory Clerk Lead (Shipping / Receiving)

  • Generate & Print Cycle Count reporting of tool crib bin locations.
  • Audit tool crib cycle counts results and be the backup cycle counter.
  • Guides and assist understanding of policy and procedures for management of inventory movement in manufacturing shipping & receiving.
  • Trains all users in the procedures of the LPCS system and use of RF Scanner.
  • Maintains the Perpetual Log and the Barcode Tag System.
  • Assists logistics coordinator and customer service manager in physical inventories and post the inventory results to the system.
  • Evaluates all variances in the inventories and assists maintaining LPCS backup system.
  • Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate.
  • Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system.

To be successful in this role youll need:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience conducting physical inventories inventory control.
  • Possess IATF-16949/ISO-9001:1205 knowledge and experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in measuring workflow and have knowledge of constraint management.
  • Operating scanning system including barcode label experience is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing inventory management.
  • Have basic math reading and comprehensive skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Have organizational skills with the ability to set and manage priorities.
  • Must be able to interact with employees other branches & outside sources.
  • Knowledge of accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Committed to safety and good housekeeping.
  • Forklift certification will be required.
