Job Description

Do you have a knack for getting things done and a passion for precision Were searching for dedicated Civil Operatives to join our dynamic team and play a vital role in expanding the UKs telecommunications infrastructure. If youre skilled in street works and thrive in a hands-on environment this is your chance to make a tangible impact!

As a Civil Operative youll be on the front lines performing essential excavations repairs and reinstatements. Youll be instrumental in the installation of crucial ducting chambers and street cabinets ensuring seamless connectivity for homes and businesses. Were looking for individuals who take pride in their work adhere to the highest safety standards and are ready to contribute to a critical industry.


Key Responsibilities Youll Own:
  • Installing new duct chambers cabinets and associated equipment.

  • Clearing blockages in the highway and expertly reinstating sites to industry standards.

  • Installing new draw rope to customer premises.

  • Completing all necessary daily paperwork with accuracy.

  • Responsibility for company assets and plant.

  • Upholding company processes and procedures.



Requirements

Were seeking highly competent and certified professionals. To hit the ground running youll need:

  • NRSWA (Units 1-9) Certification: A must-have for navigating public highways with expertise.

  • CSCS Card: Demonstrating your commitment to site safety.

  • CPCS Card (Mini Digger): Essential for at least one member of your team showcasing your proficiency with vital machinery.

  • A full UK driving license and proven experience in street works.

  • The ability to confidently operate tools like Stihl Saws Wacker plates trench compactors mini diggers and jack hammers.

  • A strong focus on health and safety with experience in risk assessment and hazard identification.

  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting with colleagues and clients.

  • A positive proactive and flexible approach to your work.

If you possess the required certifications and are ready to contribute your skills to a vital industry we want to hear from you! Knowledge of the BT Network and a towing/7.5-ton license would be a significant advantage.

Excellent communication skills Ability to work with minimum supervision Ability to work within a team Be able to prioritise, organise and manage tasks Well-presented and have good presentation skills. Must have good IT skills specifically Microsoft Excel and Word. Must be holding a Full Driving License NRSWA Accredited Track rodding and roping experience reading MSDR drawings and labelling. Fibre blowing experience would be advantageous.
