This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo CA.

How you will make an impact:
The Advanced Instructional Designer has an exciting opportunity to be a part of an extraordinary culture by working with colleagues at Meissner to grow and develop. Working cross-functionally to understand the learning and development needs of various functions and departments the Advanced Instructional Designer will contribute to a team of experts to design operationalize and scale learning programs that align with our ongoing commitment to the growth of our people and continuous learning and improvement.
Working in a collaborative environment in a growing organization the Advanced Instructional Designer is responsible for the planning design and maintenance of holistic development programs for Meissner. The Advanced Instructional Designer acts as Learning and Developments representative for change initiatives and designs and implements training programs in support of those initiatives.
- Designs and develops custom content without relying on pre-existing vendor materials to implement and evaluate training programs/projects on a variety of topics including but not limited to sales service production operations fabrication professional skills product knowledge time management supervisory skills and management development. Ensures facilitators are included to transition into a scalable offering for the L&D Department.
- Supports need assessments to diagnose Meissners talent needs by using professional consulting skills such as utilizing surveys focus groups interviews direct job observation and review of existing organizational data.
- Serves as the Learning and Developments representative on assigned organizational change initiatives; develops comprehensive curriculum and implementation plans for the initiatives.
- Researches recommends develops and implements quality and productivity improvement programs to address employee morale teamwork and organizational effectiveness.
- Maintains training records including position competency assessments needs analysis findings and program participation for both in-house and external training programs.
- Contributes to the development of Learning and Development staff through group learning sessions and train-the-trainer workshops.

The skills and experience youll need:
- Bachelors degree with 3years of directly related experience. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Articulate design tools Adobe Design Tools Learning Management Systems (LMS).Proficiency with Adobe Suite of Creative Tools including Photoshop Illustrator Premier and Audition. Additionally WebEx and similar virtual training delivery platforms.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook Project and Publisher.
- Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential through the Association for Talent Development (ATD) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong track record of curriculum design in a project or change initiative settings.

US BASE PAY SCALE $74500 - $92700
The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicants experience.
