The Department of Labor and Workforce Development Division of Employment and Training Services is recruiting for an
Employment Services Technician 1 located in Anchorage!
No Cover Letter Required!




This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 14.


What You Will Be Doing:
The Employment Services Technician 1 provides core and intensive services to a diverse customer base of job seekers and employers. The position requires critical thinking skills problem-solving skills conflict resolution skills presentation and public speaking skills and independent work strategies while utilizing a variety of computer databases and software.

The primary duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting customers with online applications and employment-related internet searches
  • Providing mentoring and coaching to customers on job-readiness skills
  • Conducting reemployment services assessments
  • Providing job search assistance and assisting customers with matching their skills to jobs in the current labor market
  • Promote the hiring of individuals from target groups of job seekers.
