Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Control:Operating and monitoring equipment (pumps motors blowers etc.) and processes within the ETP to maintain optimal performance and ensure effluent quality.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Performing routine maintenance on plant equipment troubleshooting operational issues and conducting repairs.
- Sample Collection and Analysis:Collecting wastewater samples at various stages of treatment conducting tests to monitor water quality and analyzing data to ensure compliance.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of plant operations including flow rates chemical usage maintenance activities and test results.
- Compliance and Safety:Ensuring all operations comply with environmental regulations and health and safety standards.
- Process Optimization:Adjusting chemical dosages flow rates and other parameters to optimize the treatment process.
- Reporting:Preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Teamwork and Communication:Collaborating with other plant personnel including engineers and maintenance staff to address operational challenges and improve processes.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge for troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in chemical engineering analytical chemistry or environmental science.
