3 months contract with a local authority
Job Purpose
- To support social workers in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in the City through the delivery of high-quality service.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Collect accurately record and critically analyse all relevant information using management information systems.
- Take appropriate actions to fulfill statutory responsibilities to promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of the child/young people.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of the child/young person is paramount through analysing all necessary information to complete assessments that comply with statutory requirements.
- Provide practical day-to-day support to children and their families as directed.
Essential Experience Required
- Experience of working with children and/or their families in a care setting.
- Liaising with agencies to get help for children and/or their families.
Essential Qualification Required
- Demonstrates a basic knowledge of social work practice.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- Hybrid role: office days are Mondays and Tuesdays based at Lifford House; duty days are 2/3 days a month also office-based - other days can be working at home.
- DBS check is required.
