Job Description
Our client is looking for an Economic Modelling and Planning Engineer to manage the activities related to Acquisition & Divestiture models corporate Capital and Volumes Budget and Long-Term Plan modelling. This position reports to the VP and will standardize economic analysis and presentation of project addition the successful candidate will assist with integrating the technical evaluation and budget economics with the Corporate Budget model and long-term plan.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a team of engineering land and financial professionals to support M&A initiatives
- Prepare incremental models involving various development scenarios based around multiyear budgeting long term plan models and M&A opportunities
- Prepare model update presentations for the executive team and board of directors as required
- Support exploitation and production engineers in creating maintaining and updating multiyear corporate budgets
- Work closely with area exploitation engineers to build and maintain current corporate/asset evaluations of area competitors
- Provide ongoing support to the engineering and finance departments as required
Qualifications:
- A deep understanding of important economic and deal valuation metrics
- Previous experience with oil and gas M&A evaluations
- An Engineering University Degree would be considered an asset
- 10 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience
- Experience in resource/shale plays and horizontal multi-stage D&C operations
- Software experience with Val Nav Mosaic Visage Accumap and GeoScout
