Job Description

Technical Represenative/Project Manager

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Project Management Managing multiple projects from various aspects to meet departments monthly deliverables and budgets.
  • Develop estimates for overhauls of gas turbine components.
  • In-shop (and at times off-site) evaluation and reporting on components.
  • Generate repair quotations and work scopes using Dynamics 365(hours & material).
  • Inspection and repair work scope development review evaluation and periodic and tooling design and and repair method development and innovation.
  • Reverse engineering and part design customer specific and driven scopes.
  • Creation of incoming and outgoing disposition and development of inspection and repair forms repair specifications written process specification and component drawings (2D/3D prints and models).
  • Work with department supervisor and shop technicians to ensure process repair and tooling viability. As well as to optimize refine and streamline production workflow.
  • Order materials for jobs Specify material from vendors Write Purchase Orders
  • Develop industry knowledge about competition vendors and gas turbine advancements applicable to Sulzers business.
  • Work with inside and outside sales with drafters to develop and maintain drawings inspection forms and on and manage special projects per managers instructions.
  • Develop tooling processes documentation and specifications for flow testing IGT components.
  • Help maintain and improve flow test equipment.

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering Sciences or related field / equivalent experience and training.
  • Knowledge in rotating/stationary equipment repairs or similar machinery.
  • Proficiency in all MS office software; particularly with Excel Word and PowerPoint.
  • Be knowledgeable of and enforce safety in all aspects and areas of the position and with fellow co-workers throughout Sulzers various environments includes those of our customers and vendors.
