The Opportunity
Join Monash Universitys Institute of Railway Technology (IRT) Australias leader in rail research and training. Were seeking a technicallysavvy Senior Research Engineer Automation Services to drive realtime monitoring and automation solutions that enhance rail safety efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Youll lead the design implementation and support of cuttingedge realtime computing networking and dataprocessing systems ensuring high uptime and compliance with cybersecurity standards. Building on your research and handson experience youll collaborate with IRT engineers and Monash IT to develop monitoring platforms refine operational procedures and deliver bespoke solutions to meet stakeholder needs.
This role demands both independent initiative and teamwork with regular engagement across internal teams and industry partners to translate project requirements into innovative outcomes. If youre passionate about automation rail infrastructure and impactful technological solutions this is the role for you.
