Location: Mumbai

The Opportunity
The Senior Technical Writer will play a pivotal role in translating complex payment technologies and business solutions into clear comprehensive documentation. This position requires a strong business analysis mindset to work closely with product managers development teams and stakeholders to create user-friendly documentation that bridges the gap between technical functionality and business requirements. The role is ideal for someone passionate about exploring the Fintech and Digital Payments domain.
Key Responsibilities
Understand payment products and solutions from both technical and business perspectives to create comprehensive documentation
Work closely with product managers and business teams to gather and analyze functional and non-functional requirements
Document product and solution specifications workflows user journeys and business use cases with precision and clarity
Prepare and maintain high-quality documentation including: o Digital marketing documents for products o Functional specifications o API integration guides o User and training manuals o Product presentations and solution overviews o Internal SOPs and FAQs
Break down complex payment flows and technical designs into simple understandable content for both business and technical users
Support stakeholder communication by summarizing product updates and translating technical concepts into business language
Create clear visual documentation process flows diagrams and data mappings to enhance understanding
Maintain documentation repositories ensure proper version control and organize documents for easy accessibility
Ensure alignment between business needs and final products through well-documented insights and analysis
Collaborate with QA development and deployment teams to track and document changes or enhancements throughout the product lifecycle
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Technical Writing Business Administration Computer Science Information Technology or related field (Masters degree preferred)
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in technical writing preferably in fintech payments or financial services industry
Strong business analysis skills with ability to gather and interpret functional and non-functional requirements
Experience in creating digital marketing materials and technical documentation for complex software products
Proficiency in documentation tools and platforms (e.g. Confluence SharePoint MS Office Suite Visio)
Experience with API documentation and integration guides Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts
Knowledge of payment industry workflows digital payments framework and fintech solutions (preferred)
Experience in creating visual documentation process flows and technical diagrams
Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail Location: Mumbai
