JOB DUTIES:
- Serve in a generalist procurement role covering all category areas of indirect procurement for North America (NPR - Non Product Related).
- Collaborate with both global and regional indirect category managers business stakeholders and P2I teams to deliver short- and long-term commercial benefits within geographic responsibility.
- Achieve significant cost reductions whilst maintaining or improving product and/or service quality levels.
- Responsible for executing global and regional category strategies in geographic responsibility under stewardship of relevant Global or Regional Category Manager.
- Responsible for delivery of commercial procurement support for Statement of Work (SoW) requirements for geographical responsibility and procurement activities requiring specific local intervention for general requests and Capex requests.
- Prevent spend leakage by reducing supplier base complexity and finalizing agreements/contracts to reduce spot buying and increase use of preferred suppliers.
Hybrid position requiring 3-4 in-office days weekly

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Procurement Business or related field of study and 2 years of experience in a purchasing role within an international context.
- Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:
1. indirect procurement stakeholder management supplier management and contract management.
2. implementing purchasing projects or contracts.
3. performing and presenting detailed information analysis and evaluations to management.
4. working in a multi-national company with colleagues in different countries.
5. negotiation and contract analysis.
driven improvement projects including complex tenders and contract support.
7. supporting global and regional category managers in implementing global and regional sourcing strategies including RFPs (request for proposal) with medium-value sub-categories/suppliers.
8. gathering and analyzing information and providing solutions related to category procurement.
9. preparing cost analysis from implementation to conclusion.
