Job Description

Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Care
Location: Winsford Cheshire West
Salary: 17.50 per hour / 34125 base
Sleep-in Rate: 60 per sleep 68 sleeps/month up to 5760/year
Take-Home Salary: Up to 41085/year including 100 monthly attendance bonus
Hours: 37.5 per week Permanent Contract
Rota: Rolling shifts with sleep-ins

About the Service
This is a nurturing and therapeutic 3-bed childrens home providing care for young people withEmotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The home is part of a well-established values-led organisation committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and young people.

What Were Looking For
Were seeking a compassionate confident and proactive Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the home and lead a passionate team. This role is ideal for an existing Deputy Manager Assistant Manager or an experienced Senior RSW ready to take the next step in their career.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Deputy Assistant Manager or Senior RSW in a childrens residential care setting
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding and relevant childcare legislation
  • Strong leadership mentoring and team development skills
  • A full UK driving licence (manual)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • IT proficiency and a willingness to learn new systems

Your Role in the Home
As Deputy Manager you will:

  • Lead supervise and develop a team of RSWs and Senior RSWs
  • Ensure childrens placement plans and support strategies are effectively delivered
  • Uphold the highest safeguarding standards and regulatory compliance
  • Be a role model of consistency empathy and resilience
  • Work collaboratively with external professionals and families
