Mechanical Site Engineer

Altera Recruitment is proud to represent a nationally recognised engineering specialist in the search for a Mechanical Site Technician. This role will involve travelling to various client sites across the UK to install commission service and repair mechanical pumping systems. Working closely with an electrical site engineer the successful candidate will be an essential part of a fast-moving hands-on engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site installation servicing repair and assembly of mechanical pumps and related equipment.
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs across the UK in line with the companys out-of-hours rota (including weekends and bank holidays as required).
  • Ensure timely completion of site reports after each job including customer sign-off and submission to the internal team.
  • Maintain company tools equipment and vehicle stock to ensure full preparedness for site work.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times promoting its full range of services and solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven ability to work independently while prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a flexible approach to working hours and travel.
  • Mechanical engineering qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Valid CSCS card First Aid and confined space training (all desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical maintenance or pump servicing (advantageous).
