POSITION PURPOSE:
The Inside Sales Representative oversees and maintains existing Solterra client relationships and is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management. This position will coordinate internal and external customer quotes pricing materials lien notices and documentation.
essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Become an expert in Solterra Materials products and services to be able to assess all the customers needs.
- Creating quotes for internal and external customers on asphalt and aggregates from Solterra Materials facilities utilizing Salesforce.
- Obtain signed POs and attach to correct quote in Salesforce.
- Work closely with the transportation team to ensure a smooth transition from quote of material to delivery of material.
- Generate leads through cold calls referrals and trade associations.
- Follow up on and maintain existing customers.
- Work closely with the Asphalt Sales Manager to maintain a backlog.
- Monitor Solterra account receivables and facilitate collections for past due notices.
- Make sure preliminary lien notices are submitted within the appropriate time limit as required by law.
- Any and all duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Will work in an office setting as well as outdoors.
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment including a computer.
- Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions.
- Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen.
- Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- While on the job sites employee might be exposed to various chemicals vapors pollutants gases uneven surfaces loud noises moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least three (3) years of industry experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be a self-starter possess initiative and be a critical thinker with great with time management.
- Must be fluent in English i.e. must be able to speak read and write English.
- Must possess the following skills: Customer Service Meeting Sales Goals Sales Skills Territory Management Prospecting Skills Negotiation Self-Confidence Product Knowledge Presentation Skills Client Relationships Motivation for Sales and Time Management.
Certifications Licenses and Registrations
- A current drivers license is required.
- Must have a clean motor-vehicle record.
- Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
