Acuity is seeking a Physical Security Intelligence Specialist to lead and engage in enterprise-wide security initiatives to proactively detect disrupt and prevent active or emerging this role you will gather analyze and interpret intelligence leverage investigative tools open-source data and internal systems to identify and mitigate risks to physical assets personnel and operations. This role collaborates closely with all security-related departments to implement and maintain emergency response procedures and security systems across the Acuity Corporate Headquarter and Business Resumption Center campuses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Investigate both current and emerging threats that may impact the organization and its industry.
- Provide a security presence on campus.
- Complete security inspections of Corporate Headquarters daily.
- Identify patterns and trends in physical security data such as access anomalies surveillance insights and incident reports to anticipate future risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies that protect personnel facilities and operations.
- Complete additional inspections of buildings and grounds as situations dictate. Question unauthorized people. Report and log all encounters or unusual conditions found.
- Gather information from various sources including open-source intelligence social media internal data feeds and physical security systems.
- Produce clear and concise reports briefings and presentations to communicate threat intelligence.
- Respond to Unauthorized Guest alarms. Works with the Administration and area management teams to respond to alarms in their areas.
- Assist with the creation implementation enforcement and update of formal security procedures. Create instructional videos and newsletter articles pertaining to security topics.
- Assist with monthly testing and on-going maintenance on a multitude of door access points and cameras on the security network. Must complete two specified Security Center Technical Certifications.
- Help to maintain door access system times and schedules. Issue/modify building access cards for employees and vendors. Complete background checks for all vendors prior to issuing access. Audit access attempts for select access points and vendors quarterly.
- Coordinate pickup and confidential destruction of recycling paper with service provider and Building Maintenance Specialists.
- Issue building keys as authorized. Maintain authorization paperwork and Log of Issued Keys.
- Participate in training supplies management and meetings for the internal emergency medical response team.
- Assist with the annual tornado fire alarm and intruder drills at Corporate Headquarters.
- Update electronic SDS documentation for products use internally and by onsite contractors in compliance with OSHA requirements.
- Act as liaison with emergency services agencies.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls regarding building and security concerns on a 24/7 basis.
- Assist with employee onboarding and terminations.
- Assist with space set ups for various company and community events. Work community events off hours.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience. First Aid CPR and AED certification required.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience in physical security intelligence security emergency response or law enforcement roles helpful. Prior experience implementing and maintaining robust physical security / notification systems preferred. Must be legally eligible to carry a firearm willing to do so at work and maintain proficiency through regular practice.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational teamwork interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of management employees and service providers.
- Ability to use intelligence analysis tools and software including database management open-source intelligence platforms and threat intelligence feeds.
- High degree of skill in analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate handle and track incidents.
- Ability to work with diverse teams and promote a positive security culture.
- Strong administrative/computer skills. Ability to create and maintain Word and Excel documents.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure set priorities multi-task and meet deadlines.

- Near perfect attendance and schedule flexibility to meet the ongoing demands of a dynamic environment/facility. Shifts to be worked between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
