As a District Manager at Inspire Early Education you embody our core values of being Confident Engaged and Inspiring. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of our mission: to provide a safe healthy and high-quality educational environment where children and employees are empowered to grow learn and thrive. You will oversee the operations and performance of 10 schools within your assigned region driving educational excellence operational efficiency and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development
- Train school directors on key topics during school visits and weekly calls (health and safety leadership customer service tours performance monitoring and onboarding).
- Support school directors in setting the agenda and identifying and gathering materials for school meetings (e.g. team parent event etc.).
- Set yearly objectives in collaboration with school directors in alignment with Inspires organizational regional and school-specific goals. Provide coaching and follow-up on the achievement through regular performance reviews (one-on-ones mid-year review year-end review).
- Lead the integration of new schools into your region as the company expands through acquisitions or openings ensuring a seamless transition for staff and families.
- Consistently schedule and facilitate weekly meetings for your school directors (a combination of virtual and in-person meetings should occur). Meeting topics should include operations enrollment recruitment human resources health and safety & the Inspire culture in action.
Compliance Health and Safety
- Build a collaborative professional relationship with licensing agencies and ensure compliance of every schools license with local licensing and regulatory standards.
- Ensure all schools maintain Inspires standards of health and safety policies.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across your assigned schools to ensure adherence to health safety and licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with Senior Director of Compliance as a partner to schedule training manage incidents and resolve reportable issues.
Enrollment and Customer Care
- Provide ongoing training modeling and coaching to school directors on the tour experience to ensure conversion rates are aligned with budget and exceptional client experiences are achieved.
- Drive enrollment growth by supporting school directors in executing marketing and community engagement strategies as well as continuously improving the tour and existing family engagement experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families community partners and local organizations to enhance the reputation of the company.
- Alongside the school director address client concerns and complaints in a timely professional manner ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
- Ensure key stakeholders satisfaction by creating action plans and smart goals in connection to the NPS and eNPS annual surveys alongside the customer care support team to ensure ratings improvement period-over-period.
Performance Accountability
- Understand and manage the monthly P&L for each school and the overall regional budget creating action plans and business strategy to ensure alignment with budget.
- Train school directors to monitor key financial performance indicators such as revenue occupancy rate staffing efficiency controllable spending and profit EBITDA in alignment with the P&L and budget.
- Collaborate with the recruitment and HR teams to ensure recruitment expenses and staffing needs are aligned with budget and regulatory compliance.
Education
- Monitor and assess the implementation and execution of curriculum learning experiences interactions and behavior guidance in each school.
- Ensure the teachers training and development engagement and execution of curriculum and learning experiences in all classrooms.
- Support the school directors in the implementation of the Inspire enrichment calendar and guidelines provided by the corporate education team ensuring smooth execution and alignment with classroom schedules.
- Monitor assess and provide feedback to school directors regarding the required weekly classroom observations to ensure that excellence in delivery and implementation are achieved.
Recruitment and Retention
- Provide oversight via in-person and ADP schedule reviews to ensure optimal and efficient staffing levels. Through regular training coaching and school director support scheduling overage overtime and inefficiencies in alignment with regulatory compliance child safety and budget.
- With the support of the recruitment team recruit hire and onboard passionate educators who align with Inspires mission and values.
- Support the school directors in the onboarding of new hires to reduce turnover rate and improve staffing stability.
Collaboration with Support Services
- Participate in weekly calls with recruitment enrollment & HR teams to address regional needs.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with your Senior Regional Director to align business strategy and support needs.
- Present a monthly district (or region) overview to the Senior Leadership Team SLT and a weekly written update to the U.S. Managing Director.
Facilities
- Ensure the complete and timely entry of maintenance requests and work orders.
- Continuously monitor the progress and completion of work orders ensuring updates are provided to the Director of Facilities for outstanding or incomplete maintenance.
- Ensure direct and seamless coordination of communication between school directors vendors and the Director of Facilities serving as a liaison.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of staff/child vacancies.
- Staff Turnover rate.
- Revenue and FTE budget
- Staffing efficiency.
- Tour conversion rates.
- NPS/eNPS.
- Expenses monitoring.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the early childhood education industry with at least 5-7 years of experience in management.
- Leadership experience in multi-unit operations (retail healthcare hospitality or a similarly dynamic industry) will be considered.
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff families and the community.
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L.
- High level of organization and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/Child/Adult C.P.R. and First Aid updated based on state requirements.
- A criminal reference check and verification of medical suitability is required as specified in Licensing Regulations.
- A physical of good health along with required immunizations must be kept on file to align with your states addition a list of any/all limitations that would hinder the employee from fulfilling Job Description
- Proof of any required vaccination required by licensing agency DPH and/or Inspire.
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time salaried position with a flexible schedule requiring travel to schools at least 3 days per week within the region.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required to attend meetings events and community outreach activities.
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required for travel.
- Must be capable of lifting pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds.
