What we want
The Program Assistant under general supervision provides support including planning development and implementation of the assigned programs. Supports the CPRIT (Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas) grant through the College of Nursing clinics providing cancer screenings and HPV vaccinations for low-income women throughout central Texas.

Salary: will be commensurate based on the selected hires education and experience.

Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Texas Drivers License (Driving a State of Texas vehicle is required)
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
General understanding of medical terms and processes
General understanding of clinic environments
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Knowledge of word processing spreadsheet and database applications.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
Program Coordination and Administration
Assists in the coordination of the CPRIT program.
Assists with committee meetings and materials.
Researches and recommends changes to existing programs.
Assists in the development of proposals for program funding and support.
Plans schedules and implements CPRIT clinics including set-up and breakdown
Assists in the creation and distribution of program materials.
Program Budget Inventory Records and Resource Management
Tracks and monitors an accurate program budget and inventory of items purchased with grant funds.
Maintains program records and databases and compiles program statistics.
Assists with the purchasing of necessary equipment materials and supplies to support the clinic
Creates establishes and maintains program files databases correspondence and program materials.
Program Communication and Support
Serves as a first point of contact for program information and coordinates responses to requests for program information.
Prepares and assists program correspondence including clinic communications patient inquiries appointment reminders and marketing efforts
Maintains a CPRIT program calendar and distribution list associated with clinics
Handles patient information in a HIPAA-compliant manner
Event Coordination and Logistics
Coordinates logistics and travel for program seminars workshops orientations and other special events.
Ensures timely and effective communication regarding event schedules and requirements.
May develop and update training materials and deliver training sessions.
Drives State of Texas vehicle as needed.
