Family - Facilities Operations
Sub-Family - Skilled Crafts and Trades
Career Track / Level - O2
Grade -4
Serves as an experienced mechanic and performs preventative maintenance as well as minor and major mechanical repairs on University vehicles and other mechanical equipment.
Incumbent performs maintenance & repairs on automobiles & equipment. Secondary duties will be assisting with maintenance & repairs on generators.
These essential functions include but are not limited to the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Services and maintains mechanical equipment and University vehicles.
2. Repairs electrical systems such as alternators starters wiring problems etc.
3. Recommends the replacement of or the purchase of equipment parts and supplies.
Education: High School or Equivalent
Experience:(2) Two Years Experience
Licensure: Valid Drivers License
An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
3 years experience

Motor Coordination: While performing the duties of this job the incumbent is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or bend; use hands to finer handle or feel objects tools or controls; and reach with arms. The candidate is periodically required to talk and hear. The incumbent is occasionally required to sit.
