We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Watertown NY. As a Diesel Mechanic you will be responsible for diagnosing repairing and maintaining diesel engines and related components in a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines including oil changes filter replacements and system diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components such as fuel systems brakes and electrical systems.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure vehicles and equipment are in proper working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic
- Cummins Detroit or International certification is nice to have but not a requirement.
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and components.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
