Job Description

This is an in-person clinical adjunct faculty position. Clinical adjuncts supplement the faculty of a department whenever additional faculty are needed. Clinical adjuncts hold appointments as defined by their letter of appointment without eligibility for tenure; where authorized by the Dean adjunct appointments may be renewed. Adjunct appointment does not guarantee course assignments

Required Qualifications

All adjunct clinical faculty must have at least a Bachelors degree in Nursing with current clinical experience. Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility is required. Current CPR certification is required. If certified as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) continued certification is expected.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years of clinical experience preferred
Experience as instructor or adjunct faculty preferred
National certification in specialty preferred

Special Instructions to Applicants

If the applicants official transcripts are on file in the Office of the Provost a statement indicating such must be submitted in lieu of the documents with the application. Official transcripts of all post-secondary course work will be required upon selection for hire. Adjunct instructors must attend a scheduled adjunct orientation as offered upon appointment. Orientation date and time will be announced.
