Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives: Career readiness in nursing labs involves developing the skills and knowledge needed to provide quality patient care. This includes communication self-management and professional skills. Critical Thinking: The student worker will assist faculty in the setup and maintenance of the nursing skills lab activities. Career and Self Development: The student worker will proactively develop knowledge of items commonly used in the nursibng proifession leading to competence with skills performance and increased self-confidence in the role of a professional nurse. The student worker will be responsible for: set up and tear down of skills labs for nursing students managing inventory including items currently available and those arriving from vendors demonstrate a positive proactive attitude ability to maintain an organized workspace willingness to assist students in learning during open lab hours
Physical Demands
The position may require bending lifting up to 25 pounds walking or standing for short distances periods of time.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing education. Available during weekend and/or evening hours for open good standing in the nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications
Nursing student clinical experience.
