Position Overview: Under the general direction of the Division of Planning and Tribal Development Director implement goals and objectives of the Pawnee Nation. The candidate is responsible for ensuring program compliance while processing procurement requests making travel arrangements for all PN staff inclusive of reconciliation and implement goals and objectives of the Compliance Department.
Essential Functions: 1. Responsible for overall Procurement processes using Abila MIP Integrated Accounting Software Microix Procurement Software. 2. Responsible for the processing of purchase orders while ensuring compliance in accordance with the Pawnee Nation Procurement Policies and Procedures Federal and Tribal regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. 3. Responsible for functions related to the purchase of equipment supplies and services for the Pawnee Nation for the purpose of ensuring compliance with federal tribal and other applicable regulations and be familiar with accounting procedures. 4. Responsible for approval arrangement and reconciliation of travel for all Pawnee Nation employees while having a working understanding of all applicable PN Procurement Policies and Procedures Federal and Tribal regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. 5. Responsible for developing and maintaining an inventory database for ordering tracking tagging and receiving inventory of office supplies and related materials by department wide programs via Microix software; 6. Responsible for reviewing quotes invoices and shipment orders for accuracy; 7. Responsible for assisting in researching open purchase orders and keeping up-to-date records of invoices that should be closed; 8. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information; 9. Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required; 10. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Minimum: High School diploma or GED. Preferred:Associate degree or equivalent technical school; or three years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements: Minimum: Two (2) years of work experience in the areas of Procurement and Purchase processing and/or Accounting Analysis and Fixed Assets Journal Entries. Preferred: Three (3) or more years of work experience in the areas of Procurement and Purchasing processing and Accounting analysis and entering journal entries.

Ability to learn Abila MIP Fund Accounting system software Microix Purchasing software and Document Imaging software. Communication: 1. Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word Excel Outlook Power Point Internet Explorer etc. 2. Proficiency in the proper use and operation of standard office equipment (fax copier telephone etc.) and information systems equipment. 3. Skilled in the use of business arithmetic (accounting etc.). 4. Ability to learn Microix software system. Miscellaneous: 1. Ability to pass a background screening. 2. Must maintain confidentiality. 3. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize. 4. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 5. Ability to analyze situations and adopt appropriate courses of action. 6. Ability to be persuasive and tactful in controversial situations. 7. Ability to work under tight time constraints. 8. Ability to meet deadlines adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure. 9. Ability to effectively conduct research analyze information and interpret data. 10. Ability to interpret and follow applicable federal state and local laws regulations and requirements. 11. Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job the employee regularly is required to sit; use hands and digits; reach with hands and arms; and communicate with others. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work EnvironmentWork is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Evening and/or weekend work maybe necessary. Occasions may arise requiring work outdoors where exposure to natural weather conditions may occur. There is regular interaction with the public other agencies and employees.
