The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking a Head Womens Golf Coach to lead and administer all aspects of the womens golf program. This part-time position offers a wage of $10000 per year with a schedule to be determined in consultation with the supervisor. This position is not benefits-eligible.
The Head Coach is responsible for organizing and managing the intercollegiate womens golf team including conducting practices identifying and recruiting qualified student-athletes developing competitive schedules coordinating team travel overseeing the program budget and ensuring compliance with all NCAA WIAC and institutional rules and regulations.
The Athletics and Recreation department is dedicated to graduating championsin the classroom in the community and in competitionby fostering a culture where people come first providing a safe space for meaningful conversations equipping and empowering students and staff through leadership development and building trust through communication empathy and follow-through.
Direct all operations of the womens golf program including team travel practice planning and instruction competition management and administrative oversight.
Manage the program budget responsibly and in alignment with departmental policies.
Identify recruit and retain qualified student-athletes who are committed to academic and athletic success.
Promote positive relationships with alumni supporters and the broader community.
Monitor and support the academic progress and success of all student-athletes on the team.
Ensure full compliance with all NCAA WIAC university and departmental rules policies and regulations at all times.
High School degree/GED
Knowledge of and experience in the sport of golf either as a coach player or instructor.
Strong organizational time management and communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to work effectively with student-athletes colleagues and the broader university community.
