You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailJoin our team and take the lead in managing daily operations at one of our ACI manufacturing this role youll oversee production schedules ensure quality standards manage equipment maintenance and supervise both staff and inmate workers. Youll play a key part in maintaining safety optimizing processes and ensuring products meet required specifications. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who values efficiency safety and high-quality outcomes in a dynamic correctional industry setting. This job takes place in a commercial-industrial kitchen.

- Supervises staff and inmate workers and assists with scheduling
- Trains inmate workers on various production processes and methods
- Provides security by closely monitoring inmate workers activities
- Ensures the safe operation of machinery utilized in the production process
- Interacts with other department staff customers and ACI customer service department
- Approves the quality of products in various stages of the production process
- Calculates and schedules jobs according to their production method in order to complete the job most efficiently and cost-effectively
- Researches and develops more efficient production methods
- Conducts and attends meetings
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge of:

- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in commercial bakery operations or a related food production environment
- Experience with HACCP Quality Assurance Food Safety Programs and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
- Certification as a ServSafe Instructor/Proctor
- Educational Background in culinary arts food science industrial operations or related field
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).
In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
