Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager Patient Food Services or Designate and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital the Supervior Patient Food Servicesis responsible for: ensuring a high quality of service and accuracy through efficient operation and planning of work; supervision of Patient Food Services employees and area; procurement of specific patient and office related products; participation in hiring training and conducting of contribution assessment reviews; scheduling and payroll functions; participation in quality management programs and performing other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Experience

  • Experience with CBORD Diet Office Management Software system is an asset.
  • Two (2) years experience within the last four (4) years working directly in Food Services is an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an approved Food Services Supervisors course or equivalent.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Valid Food Handler Training Certificate required.
  • Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in the use of common software applications preferably the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to supervise and direct in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Ability to read write speak and understand English.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Mature professional manner.
