Job Description

Project Kuiper is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast reliable internet to customers and communities around the world and weve designed the system with the capacity flexibility and performance to serve a wide range of customers from individualhouseholds to schools hospitals businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

As a TPM for Kuiper Enterprise Technology you will be responsible for managing multiple projects across Kuiper enterprise applications suite of SAP systems supporting Warehouse. Planning and Quality area. You will anticipate bottlenecks use high judgment to make trade-offs and balance the business needs with technical constraints. Your ability to understand the big picture of the project design and anticipate and plan dependencies is crucial as well to take large complex projects break them into manageable pieces and deliver timely results is crucial.

Key job responsibilities
- Understand business requirements working with PMT Business stakeholders super users
- Work with engineering teams (SAP Developers Functional designers process designers security Admin and other members) to understand the effort needed
- Build project plans and sprint schedules understanding engineering team bandwidth
- Manage dependencies inside and outside of the team to get the team answers on time unblock the team and execute to aligned project plan and business need by dates
- Identify and escalate risks manage issue resolution
- Bring in project management best practices setup right processes align with existing processes to delivery results
- Earn trust from the engineering team stakeholders and leadership
- Setup Jira and other tools used for capturing and running projects and sprint cadence.


A day in the life
Manage project with SAP Planning S4 Manufacturing Quality and Warehouse functions and work with cross-functional business stakeholder and peers.

- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelors degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
