Xylem Lubbock - Goulds Water Technology

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day supply chain operations to ensure efficiency accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This role leads a team of supply chain professionals implements and maintains standard operating procedures and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage warehouse and supply chain staff ensuring high levels of productivity and engagement.

  • Develop implement and maintain supply chain procedures to optimize workflow and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Strategy and Planning:

  • Create and implement a long-term supply chain strategy aligned with company goals

  • Develop short-term plans and forecasts to meet immediate and future supply chain needs

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and adjust supply chain strategy accordingly

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to plan for product launches and promotions

  • Optimize supply chain processes to meet changing customer demands


Supplier Management:

  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supply chain network

  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality

  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and reliable product delivery

  • Monitor supplier compliance with company standards and address any issues or concerns


Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs

  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained

  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate inventory replenishment

  • Implement and maintain inventory tracking systems to monitor product movement and minimize losses

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.


Team Management:

  • Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

  • Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.

  • Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.

Adaptability:

  • Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.

  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 5 years experience with at least 1 year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories principles and concepts.

  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

  • Experience with developing and implementing inventory management policies and procedures.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems.

The estimated salary range for this position is $72300 to $85000 plus pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package including Medical Dental Vision plans 401(k) with company contribution paid time off paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
