Job Title: Clinical Social Worker
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Social Worker provides professional social work services across all Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) clinical sites. This role supports patients and families by addressing psychosocial needs promoting access to resources and advocating for positive change within the healthcare and community environment.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
A. Education:
Masters degree in Social Work required.
B. Knowledge:
Solid understanding of core social work values ethics and principles.
Ability to draw upon both educational background and professional experience to support and empower patients families and communities.
C. Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with JHCP providers staff patients and families from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide supervision guidance and direction to Social Work students if eligible.
D. Licensure/Certification:
Current Maryland license from the Board of Social Work Examiners at the LMSW LCSW or LCSW-C level or license-eligible status.
E. Work Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate Social Work experience in a healthcare setting preferably in ambulatory care.
Salary Range: Minimum$29.86/hour - Maximum$49.31/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
