Job Description
Create your best future and join the Digital Technology Security Engineering team as a Senior Engineer Security. Whats the role
Join our frontline security team and help protect Westpacs digital this hands-on role youll monitor threats respond to incidents and coach developers on secure coding practices. Youll work across engineering squads and security specialists to identify vulnerabilities tune defences and uplift the overall security posture of our applications and platforms.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney (Gadigal Land) or Gold Coast (Yugambeh Land) with flexible hybrid working arrangements.
What do I need
- Experience working with edge security platforms like Cloudflare or Akamai.
- Ability to detect assess and remediate vulnerabilities in live environments.
- Understanding of WAF/WAAP rules threat analysis and log monitoring.
- Strong communication skills and passion for coaching developers.
- Proficient in one or more of the following languages Swift Kotlin Java C# TypeScript
- Familiar with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services Microsoft Azure)
