Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is recruiting for a Water Treatment Equipment Technician in the Water Line of Business. This position will support the facility and works under the direction of the Treatment plant manager and the Water Treatment Crew Chief. The Water Treatment Equipment Technician will be responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of critical water treatment equipment including chlorination fluoridation and corrosion control systems. By ensuring that this equipment operates effectively and consistently the Technician will directly contribute to the reliability of the Citys water supply minimizing downtime and the risk of service disruptions. These positions are included in the Water LOB annual O&M budget.

ExperienceOne (1) year of education in an approved water works training program and two (2) years of water treatment equipment installation and maintenance (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).

Workplace Environment:Employees will be required to come into the office five days a week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.
The full salary range for this position is $43.92 - $47.59 per hour.
