Armstrong World Industries (AWI)is offering an exciting job opportunity for aPrincipal Engineer located in Lancaster PA or Pensacola FL Macon GA or Hilliard OH. As a Principal Engineer youll play a crucial role in leading and executing projects related to manufacturing equipment and processes. What does a Principal Electrical Engineer do

• Youll be at the helm of major capital projects ensuring they adhere to agreed-upon cost schedule and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with vendors to specify equipment and design assets for new production lines within existing facilities or new ones
• Scope and recommend projects aimed at cost reduction and sustainability
• Investigate process and equipment issues providing recommendation for corrective measures.
• Apply sound engineering principles to all aspects of your work.
• Actively participated in multifunctional project teams overseeing capital projects from concept to asset installation and start-up
• Engage in Lean events to drive rapid process improvements.
• Mentor and develop engineers and maintenance personnel sharing technical and engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
• Possess 7 10 years of experience in technical engineering or leading capital projects.
• PLC and HMI programming experience with Rockwell suite of products

• Lean Practitioner certification or experience utilizing Lean tools
• SAP experience

• Wonderware experience
