The Milwaukeeoffice of SmithGroupis looking for aLandscape Architectto join our team.
Working with us you will:
- Work in integrated teams with civil engineers coastal and building systems engineers architects planners and environmental scientists.
- Work with senior design leadership to lead design efforts across all project phasesfrom concept through constructionengaging clients contractors and internal teams.
- Conduct design work sessions visioning exercises public outreach and forums
- Prepare landscape architectural drawing for all phases including proposals schematic design through construction documentation and administration.
- Develop and present design content to clients and review committees.
- Participate in marketing efforts including proposal development interviews and presentations.
- Consult with manufacturers evaluate and select construction materials.
- Assist in editing technical specifications and reviewing shop drawings.
- Visit construction sites to gather information review design intent inform and support senior project team members during the construction phase.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of trees shrubs ground covers perennials and annuals in preparing planting plans and landscape master plans.
- Travel as needed for project work.
An ideal candidate has:
- A bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience.
- LEED AP preferred. Landscape Architectural registration preferred.
- Proficiency in current design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D GIS SketchUp Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Lumion and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Technical knowledge of landscape architecture site development elements.

While we may ultimately pay more or less than a posted salary range at the time of posting the anticipated salary range for this position is $62000 to $89000 annually and you are eligible for a performance-based bonus each year.
