Operating hours 6a-630p, 2 shifts coverage

Equipment/Attire Requirement:

• Steel-toe work boot (worker responsibility)
• Hi-Visibility hard hat (provided)
• General purpose gloves (provided)
• Hi-Visibility safety vest (provided)
• Safety eyewear (provided)
• Long pants of durable material (jeans preferred)
• Shirt with sleeves, minimum to cover shoulder (no loose clothing)

As a General Operator, you will work with the Corteva production team to utilize standard operating procedures (Work Instructions) to maintain safety and quality while performing your daily functions.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills are necessary for operating software and managing data
• A valid driver's license is required for this position
• Proficiency in data entry
• Strong skills in Excel for filing and alphabetizing tasks
• Experience handling multi-line phones
• Ability to reconcile scale tickets accurately
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Professional attitude in a work environment
• Ability to work well under pressure

Responsibilities

• As a Seasonal Harvest Scale Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the organization during peak seasons by scaling trucks and ensuring that all processes are conducted smoothly and efficiently
• Your primary responsibility will be to operate scales and assist both staff and customers effectively
• This position requires a blend of technical skills and customer service abilities, as you will be interacting with customers and answering their inquiries while ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information
• You will also be expected to adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment at all times
• In this role, you will be operating various equipment including scales, telephones, and computers, utilizing specific software to manage operations efficiently

• You will be expected to build and maintain customer satisfaction through your interactions and ensure that all work is completed with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
• You may also be required to work long hours during the busy season

• Operate scales and related equipment to weigh products accurately

Additional Details:

• Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of the position.
• Transportation to and from assignment location is the responsibility of the worker.
• It is recommended that workers bring meals and snacks in a cooler if cool storage is not provided.
• Must abide by site seatbelt policy ? seatbelts must be worn in all motor vehicles on Corteva property.
• Must abide by site electronic device policy ? The use of mobile phones and/or other portable electronic devices by an individual operating a vehicle is permissible when it is done with hands-free technology. Only use mobile phones and/or other portable electronic devices with hands-free technology (i.e., only by voice commands or single-touch activation without holding the device).
• Cellular phone/mobile device (including iPods/MP3 players) are not allowed in working areas during work time. Use is restricted to break area during scheduled lunch and break times.
• Food and drink are not allowed in the work area.
• Park only in marked and appropriate areas as directed by Corteva.
