Job Description

NCQA is hiring an Assistant Director Evaluation Programs. As part of the Evaluation Programs management team this position works across PCO units and NCQA departments with leaders from Product and Customer Operations Product Management and Quality Measurement and demonstrates collaborative leadership in the following functions:

  1. Lead cross-functional teams including but not limited to representation from product measurement standards policy and other operational areas to actively support a robust suite of current in-market evaluation products.
  2. Facilitate and inform monthly pulse team meetings quarterly product leadership meetings and participate actively in product design teams for products identified for refresh.
  3. Establish product assessment overviews based on available data and manage the criteria for leadership decision-making regarding product maintenance vs. product refresh decisions.
  4. Support new product efforts and in-market product enhancements as a standards writer and measures developer to ensure modernization of evaluation recognition measurement and other NCQA products.
  5. Implement iterative process aligned with product updates to support product migration to a modular product framework that fosters value-based linkages between physician practices health plans and other organizations as applicable.
  6. Ensure operational processes and systems align with ongoing product modifications and refreshes.

Success in this position is driven by the following professional attributes and skills:

  1. Critical thinking meaningful collaboration complex project management with professionals at all levels in the organization.
  2. Strong writing skills to be able to draft unidimensional clear and measurable standards that can be implemented across the healthcare sector in many organizations at a national regional and state level.
  3. Understanding of the health care quality and measurement landscape in settings such as but not limited to health plans physician practices and other types of organizations.
  4. Engagement in NCQAs accreditation/certification/recognition processes and other standards-based products to understand how evidence is presented and reviewed during surveys.
  5. Effective project management to drive accountability.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ongoing monitoring of current cross-departmental products and integration of updated products into product portfolio including pulse meetings quarterly portfolio reviews engaging in product refreshes and product maintenance.

  • Standards development and maintenance for all in-market evaluation product efforts and identified new market products.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in health administration health information nursing social work or public health.

  • 5-7 years of management experience in an NCQA recognized clinical practice. Working knowledge of NCQA evaluation Programs processes measures and customers.
  • Demonstrated independent responsibility for projects experience with systems in physician practices or other settings engaged in behavioral health services.

  • Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation & Benefits

  • For new hires this position pays in the range of $125K - $145K per year depending on experience.
  • This position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus payable in accordance with policy.
